These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of unifiedfilter.com (the “Site”) and any products or services purchased through it, including our refrigerator water filters, air filters, furnace filters, and related accessories (collectively, the “Products”).

UnifiedFilter operates its warehouse and customer support center from Kansas City, Missouri, but is legally organized and governed under the laws of the State of Michigan (see Section 17, Governing Law).

By accessing or using the Site, placing an order, or enrolling in our subscription program, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a legally binding contract to use this Site or place an order. By using the Site, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Products and Product Information

We make every effort to display accurate descriptions, images, specifications, and compatibility information (such as filter model numbers and appliance compatibility) for our Products. However:

  • We do not guarantee that product descriptions, images, pricing, or other content on the Site are accurate, complete, current, or error-free.
  • Filter compatibility information is provided as a guide only. You are responsible for confirming that a filter is compatible with your specific appliance model before purchase.
  • Colors, dimensions, and packaging may vary slightly from images shown.

If a Product is not as described, your sole remedy is to return it in accordance with our Returns and Exchanges Policy.

3. Pricing and Payment

  • All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars and are subject to change without notice.
  • We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors, even after an order has been placed. If a Product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical, technical, or pricing error, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for that Product, whether or not the order has been confirmed.
  • Applicable sales tax will be calculated and added at checkout based on your shipping address and applicable state and local tax laws.
  • Accepted payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover, along with any additional payment options displayed at checkout (such as PayPal or a Buy-Now-Pay-Later option, where offered). Payment is processed securely through our third-party payment processor; we do not store your full payment card number on our servers.

4. Orders and Order Acceptance

  • Placing an order on the Site is an offer to purchase. All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.
  • We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order for any reason, including suspected fraud, unauthorized or illegal activity, errors in pricing or product information, or if we are unable to verify your information.
  • If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, we will issue a full refund to your original payment method.
  • You will receive an order confirmation email once your order has been placed. This confirms receipt of your order, not acceptance.

Out-of-Stock and Backorder Items

If a Product becomes unavailable after your order is placed, we will notify you by email as soon as reasonably possible. Depending on availability, you may choose to: (a) wait for the item to be restocked, (b) switch to a substitute product, or (c) cancel that item for a full refund. Any estimated restock date we provide is an estimate only and is not guaranteed.

5. Shipping

6. Product Warranty

Except as otherwise stated on an individual product page, most Products sold on the Site are covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty length and terms vary by manufacturer and brand, and are provided on the product page or included with the product packaging where applicable.

UnifiedFilter is a retailer, not the manufacturer, of most Products sold on the Site. While our own return/exchange remedies are described in our Returns and Exchanges Policy, we are also happy to help facilitate a manufacturer warranty claim on your behalf — contact us at [email protected] or (816) 280-9124 with your order number and a description of the issue.

7. California Proposition 65 Warning

Some water filtration Products sold on this Site may contain materials or components that California’s Proposition 65 requires us to disclose as known to the State of California to cause cancer or reproductive harm (such as trace amounts of lead in certain plastics or metal components). 8. Account Registration

If you create an account on the Site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, our systems, or other users’ accounts;
  • Use any automated system (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Site without our prior written permission;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Site or servers/networks connected to it;
  • Resell Products purchased from the Site without our express written consent.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Site or cancel your orders if we believe you have violated these Terms.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, product images, and software — is the property of UnifiedFilter or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on the Site without our prior written consent.

11. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or use third-party services (such as payment processors or analytics providers). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ALL PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

Nothing in this section is intended to limit any manufacturer’s warranty described in Section 7 above.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY MICHIGAN LAW, UNIFIEDFILTER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR PRODUCTS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR ORDER SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT(S) GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UnifiedFilter, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Site, or your order, are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any such dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Michigan, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
